What Is Life?

Is to be alive to simply breathe?
Or is it beyond that?
Can man live without love?
Surely to live and not to love is to not live at all
But to die alive like the whirling parched wind
In a thick alpine forest .

Do we start living when we are born or does it all
Happen when we realize love?
I walk among them but I am I part of their colony?
Like a beauty without a symphony I am…
I ask yet again, is life simply about breathing
And living for the moment?

As the moon smiles each night the blinking
Stars stare at us with delightful intentions.
A steep river flow exemplifies the depth of
Life’s struggles.
Still waters where fish reside depicts
An ecstasy side of life.
The blinding sun
The twinkling stars
Spice life with spectacular illuminations.

Days of tears,
Days of love,
Days of affliction,
And days of births and deaths,
All define life as a balanced entity.

What is human affection when one is dead?
What is life when one can’t breathe?
What is love when one can’t feel it?
It is easy to understand life but also effortless
Not to.
To know the elements of life one must live
Like us…but who are we?
Are we the waiting lost and found?
These questions are meant
To be answered by life.
So what is life?
