Darfur Weeps

Silent screams gradually elude the struggling
Feelings that divide emotions to bits,
Darkness comes to sing the solemn melody to
They that fear falling from the rooftops
Of misery.

A facade of evil uncovers a reality of
Sweet boredom of love as every man falls
Out of love with his life,
The African sun creeps ever so closely
At the diamonds that bleed from the past and pain.

Skins peel off at the sight of light as bodies
lie in the sun being attended to by the others,
Justice seeks salvation as they fall and die with
A face of a dark labyrinth,
A maze of shame stands still waiting for mercy
To undo the misery,

In our world the sun shines no more.
